  • @TheBiggy, you’re probably just an armchair fan who gets football knowledge from watching games on TV. What you need to understand is Capello is obviously trying different players to make them feel some pride. He might not pick Bothroyd for competitive matches, but as Jay’s on excellent form, Capello’s obviously picking goals/form instead of picking the same players for every international game. Also, Rooney & Lampard are both injured and therefore will not participate on Wednesday evening.

  • @TheBiggy shut up what do you know? its a friendly first of all so its good to experiment and your saying rooney gerrard lampard.. as if there all world class players, well at international level there simply not. (lampards injured anyway). What if bothroyd has a good game? then good, but if he doesnt play well, well who cares its a friendly and was worth the gamble!

  • @valma1208 i think he is.

  • anyone eles noticed his English has improved?

  • @TheBiggy
he’s scoring everyweek! thats not inconsistent

  • @chainsawsandgeorge lol.. no he wont be

  • Jordan Henderson is by far the most significant inclusion in this squad if you ask me. This kid has an almost frightening level of ability and talent for someone his age and has exactly the right attitude to go right to the top in the game. Sunderland will have a fight on their hands to keep him at The Stadium of Light, he will be a key player for England a few years down the line.

  • Carroll is injured … nuff said
P.S I think England strikers have a curse atm

  • only one mistake in his squad – didnt include stuart downing…

  • Jay Bothroyd? He’s the most inconsistent player I’ve ever seen. He plays championship football and you’re throwing him into a team with Rooney, Gerrard and Lampard. I guarantee 100% if he comes off the bench he will be terrible and he’ll never get another cap in the future.

  • His English is getting pretty good now, a lot easier to understand :).

Also I don’t believe Lennon or Walcott are playing in this match? As long as Ashley Young is playing along with Wilshere on the wings hopefully we can show the French some British fire 😛

  • carroll is the future of england. nuff said.

  • C’MON WILSHERE! SHOW THE COUNTRY WHAT YOU CAN DO!

  • both are GREAT team

  • Capello has made some very good choices in the squad. I like it =]
