Jack Wilshere is eager on getting back in the pitch

The 23 year old English midfielder Jack Wilshere has been out of action since November of 2014 when he sustained an ankle injury which has forced the player to remain on the sidelines of Arsenal for the majority of the season.

The road to recovery of Jack Wilshere has left him out of the pitch for over 4 months but the player is slowly returning to full fitness as he has trained and made a few appearances for Arsenal’s Under-21 squad.

Jack Wilshere is happy to be able to play for the youth team of Arsenal as he is trying to get back to his form but the English player is eager on making it back to the main team of Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere said: “You can play as much as you want in the Under-21s, but you cannot get that intensity of the Premier League. In training here, the little eight-a-side and keep balls is top level, and that is what I need. Everyone looks forward to the training sessions, it is short and sharp, everyone is fighting for a position in the team and you can really tell that.”

Due to the ankle injury that Wilshere sustained a few months ago, the player has spent more time on the sidelines of Arsenal than anything else but Wilshere stated that he has been impressed by what his teammates have been accomplishing, especially after Arsenal claimed their 8th successive Premier League triumph by defeating Burnley with a scoreboard of 0-1. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has progressed a lot in terms of the recovery from the injury and is all set to resume full training soon. Jack Wilshere suffered a number of problems in his knee at the start of the season, which meant that he had no other option than to undergo a knee surgery.

It was expected that the England midfielder could be out for the first half of the season, and the expectations have been made true. So far, he has not resumed full training, but Arsene Wenger has said that there have been positive news regarding his recovery.

He is expected to start some training over the next few days, while he will be receiving full training by the end of this month. It comes as a major boost for Arsenal, whose title challenge has come to an end to the season. However, they are still in the race for finishing in the top four, which is essential for qualification into the Champions League. A club like Arsenal needs to play in the Champions League every season in order to meet the finances required to run the club stable.

It is thought that Jack Wilshere could return to the Arsenal first-team fold in the first few weeks of February. Arsene Wenger is thought to be targeted games against Blackburn and Sunderland in the first week of February as possible comeback dates for Jack Wilshere. In the absence of the England midfielder, a lot has an expected of Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who has just come back from a horrible leg injury.

The return of Jack Wilshere could also enable Arsene Wenger to consider selling midfielder Andrei Arshavin, who has become largely ineffective in recent seasons at Arsenal.

Jack Not Back

Arsene Wenger has dashed the hopes of many Arsenal fans, as he recently came out and denied claims that his star English midfielder Jack Wilshere would be back prematurely to what was originally thought.

Wilshere has not been seen since the summer because of a foot injury that will be keeping him out until at least January. The midfielder, however, announced this week that his recovery was going well and he was pleased with the progress that he was making. He also said that he would be stepping up his rehabilitation in a bid for quick recovery. But the prospect of the rapid return has been dashed by Wenger who said: “ He will not be available before the end of January.”

Wilshere has also caused pandemonium on twitter by pledging to donate £3000 to charity if Arsenal fail to beat their rivals Tottenham in the Premier League this season. Arsene Wenger has had no issues with this bet that the young midfielder placed and only said that he hopes that the teen will not have to pay out.

Wenger said: “He made a contest. The good thing is a charity will get some money. If we finish above Tottenham he said the Tottenham supporters have to spend £1 each, so because they have many I hope the charity gets a lot of money! I hope Wilshere won’t pay anything! We are ready for a challenge, and hopefully the charity will get some money – but not from us!”

Wilshere will be hoping that his injury will not have him out much longer and that he will be able to fight for his club in a bid to beat their rivals Tottenham.
