Norwich City, Watford and Bournemouth were relegated at the end of the Premier League campaign last term. Bournemouth are the only club of the three waiting to know if it would be an instant return to the English top flight or not after Norwich City and Watford secured automatic promotion to the Premier League as the top two teams in the English Championship this season.

Bournemouth will have to see off Brentford in the semi-finals of the playoffs and the winner of the other semi-final tie between Swansea City and Barnsley in the playoff final to seal their return to the Premier League after one season in the English Championship.

The Cherries have given themselves a good chance of making the Championship playoff final after the slender victory over Brentford at home in the first leg. Danjuma was the recipient of the only goal of the game off the assist from Welsh midfielder David Brooks. The winning goal came ten minutes into the second half.

England international Jack Wilshere is one of the experienced players at Bournemouth and he played his part in the aforementioned win over Brentford. Jack Wilshere came on for the final nine minutes to help his team see out the win. Jack Wilshere was sent off in the place of Welsh midfielder Brooks who was responsible for the assist that led to the winning goal from Danjuma.

Jack Wilshere is on a pay-as-you-play deal at Bournemouth after he signed last year on the back of his unsuccessful two-year stint at West Ham United.
